This our princely com-mandement is delivered into the hands of the Englishmarchants, which remaine in the protection of our statelypalaces : to the ende that all men which shall see thisipresent writing, may understand that our princelyjcounsaile wil defend them by the favor of God, fromany thing that may impeach or hurt them in what sortjsoever they shalbe wronged : and that, which way soeverthey shall travaile, no man shall take them captives inllthese our kingdomes, ports, and places which belongunto us, which also may protect and defend them by our 429.
