Located in Oak Creek Canyon, Sedona is surrounded by the Cocnino National Forest and gets twice the rainfall of the Sonoran Desert to the south, thus the landscape contains desert plants as well as lush green trees. The red rocks and cliffs in Sedona are truly a natural wonder. They change color as the sun moves across the sky and can appear orange, red, purple or pink depending upon the time of day.
