Doncaster North Bus Station, South Yorkshire, 1967. Artist: Michael Walters

Doncaster North Bus Station, 1967. Passengers run for their bus as a mid 1960s GUY and an early 1950s Daimler STL double decker bus get ready to depart. Doncaster has two bus stations, one North and one South, which serve different areas. This one is adjacent to the railway station. As with a great number of the bland, late 1960s concrete structures, the station and multi-storey car park had a limited life span and were totally redeveloped in 2007 to include an extension to the adjacent Frenchgate Shopping Centre, increased parking facilities and an updated bus terminus travel centre.
