Flowers of Greater Stitchwort / Stellaria holostea. Former medicinal plant used in herbal remedies.


A very common early summer plant Greater Stitchwort [Stellaria holostea] was used in the past to treat 'stitch', hence the common name. It belongs to the same family of plants as the common garden weed Chickweed [Stellaria media].
