A wheellock pistol, North German or Scandinavian, circa 1680. Long, slender barrel with a smooth bore in 12 mm calibre. Eight or 16 faceted chamber, inscribed "Lazarino" between star marks. Tang has an old inventory number "83". The lock has an internal wheel, one lock screw is a replacement. Beautifully chiselled side plate. Walnut full stock with iron furniture.
