OAK HARBOR, Wash. (Mar. 29, 2018) — Cmdr. Nathan Gammache, left, the "Golden Swordsmen" of Patrol Squadron (VP) 47 Executive Officer, speaks with Rear Adm. Michael Wettlaufer, middle, Commander, Carrier Strike Group Three, during a visit to Patrol and Reconnaissance Wing Ten. VP-47 is a maritime patrol squadron stationed at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island. The "Golden Swordsmen" recently completed their first 1,000 hours of flight in the P-8A Poseidon, the Navy's premiere long-range anti-submarine warfare platform.
