Ft. William , First Nations 2 day pow wow, for celebration and healing.
The Thunder Bay, Fort William First Nation marked the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation with a pow wow," and with a promise to never forget the past, while moving ahead to to the future". The pow wow was on Anemki Aajiw, (Mt. McKay) their sacred mountain. The pow wow went on for two days, with various drum and song groups competing for prizes. There were also competition for the dancers. This was followed by food. After the restrictions of covid-19 , people were just happy to all be together again.
