Tabor College at-tracted the ambitious youth, wherehe was graduated in 1879, from whichhe went to Yale Divinity School. Inthe class of 1882, including among itsthirty-two members, Arthur , W. W. Jordan, Edward and John E. Tuttle, Ashmunwon the respect of the able teachersand the love of his classmates. The missionary fields of his homestate Nebraska, were the scene ofhis first labors in the ministry, wherehe served as pastor the churches inSyracuse and Beatrice. The congre-gations, now strong and helpful, stillcherish the memories
