When completed it was placedunder command of Captain Jacob Orndt, who occupiedit with his company of fifty men. Commissary of musters, James Young, on his tour ofinspection, reached the place on June 23, 1756. His re-port about it reads as follows: Fort Norris—At 11 A. M.
