Orange bellowsfish (Notopogon fernandezianus). X-ray of a section through an orange bellowsfish, showing the fleshy tuft (upper right) between its skull and dorsal (back) fin, which is supported by many thin rods of bone. This species lives on the continental shelves all southern oceans, at depths of 580 metres. This specimen measures 19 centimetres in length.
