A Turkana woman fled the civial war in Sudan and lives now in a refugee camp in Lokichoggio, Kenya.
Turkana woman and her family from southern Sudan living in a refugee camp outside Lokichoggio in north-western Kenya. The population of some refugee camps is almost double that of the local Turkana community, and there have been periodic skirmishes ever since the camps were opened. The main source of friction is competition for resources, especially grazing land in the desert-like landscape.
