The main visitor’s entrance to the Sembcorp Cool House. Sembcorp Industries is a leading Asian renewable and low-carbon energy player. It is the largest green power provider in Singapore. The design of the Cool House is its energy efficiency and sustainability requirements by using less energy whilst maintaining the required level of humidity for its montane plants. The Cool House is in the National Orchid Gardens within the botanical Gardens of the 165-year-old tropical garden, located at the fringe of the Orchard Road shopping district in Singapore. It is one of three gardens, and the only tropical garden, to be honoured as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
