The Hotel Dreesen in Bad Godesburg where Adolf Hitler and British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain will hold their second meeting to decide the fate of Czechoslovakia. It was here that Chamberlain gave in to Hitler's demands to take control of the Sudetenland, part of Czechoslovakia. Chamberlain returned to London convinced that he had secured peace in Europe. It was only when Hitler started to demand control of Danzig (Gdansk) in Poland that Chamberlain understood that Hitler actually wanted war.
