Apollo 12 launch. Saturn V rocket carrying the Apollo 12 spacecraft and astronauts, taking off from Pad A, Launch Complex 39, at the Kennedy Space Center (KSC), Florida, USA, at 11:22 local time (16:22 UTC) on 14 November 1969. Apollo 12 took place from 14-24 November 1969. It was the second manned mission to land on the Moon, with Charles 'Pete' Conrad and Alan Bean descending to the lunar surface on 19 November 1969. The third crew member, Richard Gordon, remained in lunar orbit in the command module.
