Lance Cpl. Stephan Durkee, a Nashua, New Hampshire native, receives a Hard Charger of the Day Award for his level of commitment and initiative that is unmatched by many of his peers. He is currently serving as a Data Systems Operator in H&S S-6, a billet that is outside his primary MOS and is exceeding all expectations. While aboard the USS Iwo Jima, LCpl Durkee has displayed maturity, excellent bearing and impressive technical knowledge by spending numerous hours increasing his awareness of duties in his primary MOS and current billet MOS for Exercise Trident Juncture.
