Ring of Gullion, satellite image. This area is on the border between Ireland and Northern Ireland. At centre is Slieve Gullion, County Armagh, a mountain that stands at 573 metres tall. Surrounding Slieve Gullion are the hills that make up the Ring of Gullion. The hills are nearly 60 million years old and were formed by a volcano either collapsing or depositing layers of magma. Image obtained by NASA's Landsat 7 satellite.
