CWGC Loos Memorial and Cemetery at Dud Corner near Lens commemorating mostly those killed in the Battle of Loos in 1915
Loos memorial and cemetery, also known as Dud Corner due to the extent of all the dud artillery shells recovered after the armistice, those commemorated on the wall panels are Guardsman Lt John Kipling, son of the author Rudyard Kipling and author of the book My Boy Jack. Also Capt Bowes Lyon of the Black Watch brother of the late Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. The wall panels record the names of 20598 servicemen who remain missing and 684 burials, most from the Battle of Loos in 1915
