CARRIBEAN SEA (Sept. 18, 2017) A GOES satellite image of Hurricane Maria in the Carribean Sea. The storm is a category 1 on the Saffir–Simpson hurricane wind scale. On the forecast track, the center of Maria will move across the Leeward Islands and then over the extreme northeastern Caribbean Sea Tuesday and Tuesday night.
