WhING wheelchair design. Engineer using computer-aided design (CAD) during the development of an electric wheelchair for disabled people. This is a WhING (Wheelchair Initiative New Generation) wheelchair. It has innovative mechanical and electrical features that can be programmed and changed for different disabilities, or for the same patient through the progression of a condition. The WhING wheelchair was awarded the 2011 French National Engineering Prize. Photographed in 2012, at a Segula Technologies facility in Trappes, France.
