Steve Peak, who rescued this old Hastings fishing boat 'Edward and Mary' which was part of the DUnkirk rescue fleet in 1940. Edward and Mary was built in 1919, She was the first Hastings fishing boat to be built with an engine installed. After Dunkirk she was a working boat for another 40 years and after she was retired Steve Peak rescued her, restored her and got her installed on Hastings beach by the old Net Sheds where she is still a popular tourist attraction in 2022. 20 March 1995 Picture by Roger Bamber
