160724-N-IK388-039 PACIFIC OCEAN (July 24, 2016)-- Members of the German Navy, operating from amphibious dock landing ship USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52), conduct an underwater surveillance exercise, during the Southern California portion of Rim of the Pacific 2016. Twenty-six nations, more than 40 ships, five submarines, 200 aircraft and 25,000 personnel are participating in the biennial exercise.
