The low pressure pipe system (LPP) is a modified septic system, created for use in soils not suitable for on-site sewage disposal by conventional septic systems. It was developed in a Sea Grant research pro- ject led by Carlile. The manual specifies the procedures and materials to be used for the suc- cessful siting, design, installation and maintenance of residential LPP systems.
