SEAL SPOTTED IN LONDON © Jeff Moore - Local residents in Hammersmith, West London have been enjoying rare sightings of a seal in the river Thames over the past few weeks. The large seal was seen catching fish and swimming next to Hammersmith bridge. Although there are many seals in the Thames estuary they rarely come down as far as central London. The Thames is now considered to be the cleanest river in the world that flows through a major city.
