The'Sj soil should be rich, and when blooming time comes keep the plants well watered, especially if it should be a dry time. The plants are very branching, and it is sometimes necessary to prune away some of the shoots in order to increase the size of the flowers. The Rocket candytuft grows in Compact spikes; the new dwarf varieties are only about six inches in height, and their season of blooming is very long.
