Fluorescence micrograph of the thallus of a liverwort (Conocephalum conicum). The thallus is composed of few layers of cells with different functions. The dorsal epidermis has small pores that help in gaseous exchange. Observed in ultraviolet (UV) light. Magnification: x65 when printed at 10 x 10 cm.
