Tawny Eagles are from 26 to 29 inches in length and vary in colour from dark tawny brown dark phase to pale buff light phase Found in pairs or solitary it s diet consists of killing mammals up to the size of a Dik Dik This eagle will scavenge on carcasses with vultures and will also try to rob other raptors of food The nest is a very large structure of twigs placed in the very tops of trees clutch size of 1 to 3 eggs are incubated by both sexes
