In 1899-1900, theCollege contained the following chairs: Prin-ciples and Practice of Oral Pathology and Homceopathic Building on the North side ofthe Campus; then it was removed to thesouth side, where it occupied the old Profes-sors house which had been enlarged and fittedup for its reception. When the University I-^os-pital was removed from the Campus in 1891,the building that it had previously occupied,thoroughly renovated and furnished for thepurpose, became the home of the same year the Dental Society of the. DENTAL COLLEGE Surgery, Operative and Clinical Dentistry,Prosthetic Dentistry and Dental Metallurgy,Dental Materia Medica and Dental Mechanism,and Dental Anatomy, Operative Technique,and Clinical Operative Dentistry. At first thecourse of study embraced two years of sixmonths each. In October 1884, the termswere lengthened to nine months, and in 1889a third term of the same length was degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery isconferred upon the graduates of the school. The Dental College has been rather migra-tory. At first it was accommodated in the Uni\ersit\ of Michigan, wliich has contributedmuch to the interest of the department, wasorganized, and a little later the Dental Journal,published by this society, was launched. The department has been prosperous fromthe beginning. The minimum attendance, 20students, \vas the first year; the maximum,247 students, was in 1899-1900; and betweenthese extremes there have been few years thatdid n
