Coming to our own branch of thechurch we find a disturbance arosein the sixties when a successful effortwas made to introduce lay representa-tion into our General who today in face of the greatLaymens Movement in the churchwould say that the laymen should nothave a part in the councils of thechurch, even though they came inthrough a mighty disturbance, andwith prophesies of harm to the church.
