City of York, England. Quire, Lady Chapel and Great East Window of York Minster and Cathedral. The Minster is more formally referred to as the Cathedral and Metropolitical Church of St Peter in York. Please note that the Great east Window was removed in 2008 for a restoration project that will last approximately 10 years. Currently in place is this immense representation of the original window, offering visitors an impressive vision of what the window will look like when it is returned to its former glory and location.
