The market square area of the Bastide village of Monpazier in the Dordogne region of France. The central covered area of the market has a tiled roof with stone and wooden supports. The area to the side archways which, as with the market roof, provide shelter, from both summer heat and winter cold, for the traders selling their wares and their customers. The village is well known for its mushroom sales in October.
