Sarsen stones in the village of Lockeridge, near Marlborough in Wiltshire, England.


Sarsen stones are sandstone blocks, most common on the Marlborough Downs in Wiltshire. They are post-glacial remains of a cap of cenozic silcrete that once covered much of southern England.
