Vatican City. Dome of St Peter's Basilica. Designed and built built up to the drum by Michelangelo Buonarroti (1475-1564). After his death it was completed by the architect Giacomo della Porta (1532-1602), who worked on it, together with Domenico Fontana (1543-1607), between 1588 and 1590. Interior architectural detail.
