Façade of the ancient church of St Cristoforo (11th century) in Piazza Tolomei, in the historic centre of Siena, Unesco Heritage Site, Tuscany, Italy
Located in Piazza Tolomei, the church of San Cristoforo has ancient origins (11-12th century). Over the years it underwent several changes, particularly the one related to the earthquake of 1798 that led to a total reconstruction of the same in neoclassical forms. The brick facade, divided by four columns, is adorned by two statues made in 1802 by Giuseppe Silini, representing Saint Catherine and Blessed Bernardo Tolomei
