From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: Yerseke is a village situated on the southern shore of the Oosterschelde (Eastern Scheldt) estuary in the Dutch province of Zeeland. A separate municipality until 1970, it today forms part of the municipality of Reimerswaal. On 1 January 2007 Yerseke had a recorded population of 6,541 inhabitants . The locality is well known for its fishing industry: in particular, the cultivation of mussels, oysters and other clams in the Oosterschelde
