The 839th Transportation Battalion Surface Deployment and Distribution Command offloaded over 300 pieces of equipment, including 10 helicopters, from the Liberty Promise commercial vessel, May 5, at the Port of Alexandroupoli, Greece. Various Army units will transport equipment issued at Alexandroupoli to sites across Europe, setting the European theater to support mobilizing and deploying forces and enhance interoperability among Allies.
