USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) Commanding Officer Capt. Paul Lanzilotta and Command Master Chief Bryan Davis render honors as retired Naval Aircrewman 1st Class Mark Shackleford is committed to the sea during a burial at sea ceremony on the ship’s aircraft elevator 3, July 12, 2022. During the ceremony, the cremains of 30 souls were committed to the sea in the Atlantic Ocean. Ford is underway in the Atlantic Ocean conducting an independent steaming operation.
