Cancer treatment preparations. Hospital nurse preparing drugs to be used to treat cancer in a chemotherapy session. Many of the drugs used to treat cancer are highly toxic, so care must be taken when handling them. The nurse is using a syringe to extract a liquid chemical from a vial. This may be mixed with other chemicals, and will then be delivered by a drip, or direct injection, into the patient's bloodstream.
