There is but one singleyear (1857) of our recorded series, in which no measurable quantity fell during that month ; so thatwe may reasonably expect that the total of the season will sum up considerably above twentyinches. It will be observed that the temperature has been below the average; white frost was seenin the city as late as the tenth instant, but has not materially injured the fruit thus
