Ornate harnesses, Royal Stables, Christiansborg Palace, Copenhagen, Denmark

Several castles have occupied this site since the first one built in 1167. The present building is the 5th one, and the third Christiansborg Palace, built from 1907-1928 in Neo-Baroque style, the previous two having burned down. It contains a number of government buildings, the Royal Stables and the Royal Reception Rooms, including the Great Hall and the library. The Royal Stables are home to the horses and carriages used to perform the ceremonial transport for the Danish Royal Family during state events and festive occasions.
