After the October Revolution a great number of large-scale phyto- pathologic works were published which to a certain extent summarized the accumulated data on rust fungi. Some of these works have already been mentioned. Among other works mention should be made of "Kurs fitopatologii" (Course in Phytopathology) (1923, and subsequent editions; the 19 52 edition — "Bolezni sel'skokhozyaistvennykh rastenii" (Diseases of Agricultural Plants)) by N. Naumov, "Bolezni sadovykh i ovoshchnykh rastenii s osnovami obshchei fitopatologii" (Diseases of Garden Plants and Vegetables, and the Fundamentals of General Phytopathology) (1934) and "Metody mikologicheskikh i fitopatologicheskikh issledovanii" (Methods of Mycological and Phytopathologic Research) (1932, 1937) by the same 28.
