Jumping spider head. Close-up of the head of a jumping spider (family Salticidae), showing four of its eight eyes (black). Jumping spiders stalk their prey before leaping on it from a few centimetres away. All jumping spiders have four pairs of eyes with one pair being their particularly large anterior median eyes (centre two).
