The image reveals the helicopters landing Vietnamese soldiers on the far side of Song Chau Me Dong River in the landing zone Birch. In the foreground, smoke and fire can be observed, with the picture taken from a distant location using a telephoto lens from Hill 113. This photograph is from the Defense Department's collection (Marine Corps) and holds the identifier XV 127 GVB-2.
