Staff at Marwell Zoo, near Winchester,Hants, have named their new baby giraffe 'Sophie' after Prince Edward's new bride. The two-day old giraffe is taking it's first tentative steps under the watchful eye of mum Glendower. It was decided to name the new arrival after the Countess of Marwell Zoo is in the heart of the ancient county of Wessex. Pic: Mike Walker 1999
