Today Is Life- Tomorrow Never Comes, a famous slogan, written on a wall at Matala. Colorful Matala, situated on the Bay of Messara, viewed from the beach, with its numerous cafeterias, in the Heraklion region, on the island of Crete, Greece. Matala has a safe natural harbor on the Bay of Messara. It offers sandy and pebble beaches. It's the place, where according to legend where Zeus swam ashore in the guise of a bull with Europa on his back. The beach is 250m long and 45m wide. Matala is also famous for its historic caves dating back to Neolithic Age in the impressive formations of sandstone rock cliffs sliding into the Bay of Messara at an odd angle, creating one of the most unusual beachscapes.
