Moynahan accept the Innovation Scholar award from Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Research, Development and Acquisition) James F. Geurts. The Midshipmen were part of a 5 member team at the United States Naval Academy that designed a solid-structure, multipurpose reef in efforts to reverse natural trends of coastal erosion and shoreline depletion.
