Fore wing almost uni- form steel-grey, the basal area irrorated with white; faint traces of an antemedial line; orbicular a rather elongate black point; reniform with white annulus and black-irrorated centre, large, round, prominent; a whitish streak in cell from orbicular to reniform and thence to termen ; subterminal line wbite, slightly irregular, a white patch on costa before it; the veins of terminal area streaked with white. Hind wing white, the termen tinged with fuscous. Frontal plate narrow at extremity. Eah. , S. California. Exp. 30 millim. This species is unknown to me; figured from a drawing from type in Nat. Mus. B. (Graperia). Frons with the plate below it excised in front. a. Fore wiug dark brown with Tellow costal fascia costalis. b. Head, tegulae, and patagia white tinged with fulvous yellow ; palpi at tips and antennae brown ; dorsum of thorax dark red- brown ; pectus and legs white, the fore and mid tibiae and tarsi with some brown mixed ; abdomen ochreous white dorsally tinged with brown. Fore wing dark chocolate-brown with a slight greyish. Fig. 194,— Grceperia costalis, c?. ^. tinge the costal area white suffused with fulvous yellow from inner margin near base to just before apex, its lower edge very slightly angled at end of cell; traces of an incurved postmedial line from vein 4 to inner margin ; cilia greyish at tips.
