Scar House Reservoir during severe summer drought
The adjoining Scar House and Angram reservoirs are situated in rural Yorkshire at the head of Nidderdale, and sit within the Nidderdale AONB (area of outstanding natural beauty). Water levels are exceptionally low, with drought declared across Yorkshire after a dry summer with unprecedented heatwaves, and a hosepipe ban introduced a few days before this image was taken. 2022 water levels are the lowest since the 1995 drought.
