Storehouses at Lindisfarne, Holy Island, Northumberland, England. Architect: Restored by Sir Edwin Lutyens (1903)

The boats were cut in half and converted into storage huts in the early twentieth century by architect Edwin Lutyens. They were used to store fuel and firewood. This installation serves as a reference to the herring fishing industry that existed on Holy Island.
