The Lord Yarborough (Charles Anderson-Pelham : 1780 - 1846) Monument was erected on Bembridge Down near Culver Cliff in his memory by public subscription. Besides many attributes he was the first commodore of the Royal Yacht Squadron (based at Cowes) in 1825. He died at the age of 65 aboard his ship the 'Kestrel' in 1846. The monument was erected in 1847/8 - Bembridge Down / Culver Cliff, Isle of Wight, England, UK : May 2007.
