Wallace Tower Ayr, an engraving from a book about Robert Burns published in 1805. Wallace Tower was an old baronial tower in Ayr, South Ayrshire. The tower clock is referred to in Burns 1786 poem “The Brigs of Ayr”. “The drowsy Dungeon-clock had number'd two, and Wallace Tower had sworn the fact was true:” This image is believed to be free of all copyright restrictions and may be used commercially.
